Got the latest laser hair removal treatment. Had to defer for a week in the 1 month cycle due to a death in the family of the technician.
More spotty results, though the splotches are smaller and the overall effect is getting less "weird" after a couple of days of no shaving.
The area around my "beard area" upper lib and chin is proving more resistant to the laser than other areas, no spottyness yet, and some thinning of the hair, but the 5 oclock shadow is still very much present. The white hairs are also getting more visible after a couple of days of no shaving.
The treatment itself was different because the proprietor of the shop did it (another woman had done the last two). She seemed much more deliberate of going in a grid pattern and was more communicative on what she was doing where.
The relative power levels (and pain) is definately getting turned up too. She used 50 joules at 40ms for cheeks and neck and 40 / 40 for lip and chin. The ouch factor was definitely higher, along with much louder "zapping" sound and smell of burnt hair.
As always, the skin was very red immediately after the treatment, and the next day I did notice where the skin has gotten rough and broken from scabbing at the edge of my chin. This is where she would have used both the higher power laser setting and the lower one a few minutes apart, as well as double treating with the lower setting for some reason, though before the treatment this areas was thickest aside from upper lip.
For reference, the photos I show here are after two days growth. Immediately after the treatment and after shaving doesn't show enough contrast to show what's going on. Visually after shaving normally it looks like there are beard dots in one area and not in another.
